The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) invites comments on the draft Housing and Urban Development (HUD) PRO Housing grant application on October 23, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. at a virtual hearing.

Please register below to attend the public hearing. If you would like to provide comments during the public hearing, please email fairhousing@mwcog.org; you are encouraged to send your testimony via email or mail so we may accurately incorporate your comments into the application to HUD.
Interpretation
English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available at the Public Hearing. Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)
The PRO Housing NOFO supports communities which are actively taking steps to remove barriers to affordable housing. COG is applying to HUD for funding to support activities that may remove barriers and increase the production of affordable housing in the metropolitan Wahington region. Residents from the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland, and northern Virginia are encouraged to provide insights and comments on the draft application package. Participating jurisdictions
The District of Columbia; and in Maryland, Montgomery County and Prince George’s County; and in Virginia, the City of Alexandria, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County.

COG will gather comments and feedback to incorporate into the application. The draft application is available online at www.mwcog.org and www.mwcog.org/fairhousing. Comments must be received by 5:00 P.M. on October 31, 2023.
