Transit-Oriented Development Policy
Transit-Oriented Development Policy
The goal of San Antonio's Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) policy is to build great communities where residents live, work, and play and have access to speedy, efficient and safe VIA transit lines. The City of San Antonio has revised its city codes and zoning policies to create a 21st Century TOD policy.
International Park(ING) Day
San Antonio’s Complete Streets and Transit-Oriented Development policies will be front-and-center in a makeover of Houston Street for National Park(ing) Day. Houston Street between Main and Flores will be open to foot traffic but closed to vehicles September 19 for the block party. Various City departments and vendors will be located along the route, creating a streetscape design which will resemble a mock-up of a slice of the VIA Green Line and its walkshed. Bikes welcome! Consider taking VIA transit to the event.
Thanks for your interest! Registration is closed because the event has concluded.
