Central Avenue Bridge Replacement (LUC-120-11.32, PID 102940)
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing bridge on Central Avenue between Reynolds Road and Corey Road. The current bridge spanning the Ottawa River is deteriorating, therefore a new, upgraded bridge is proposed. The proposed design of the new bridge includes a sidewalk on the south side of the roadway, a multi-use path on the north (Wildwood Metropark) side of the roadway, and increased lane outside widths. In order to expedite construction, the bridge is proposed to be closed for approximately 120 days starting in the Spring of 2024 with a detour posted.
