Goals, Initiatives and Outcomes Public Survey
Goals, Initiatives and Outcomes Public Survey
Since the 1990s the City of Williamsburg has followed a Goals, Initiatives, and Outcomes (GIO) process to establish a two-year work plan. This planning exercise is completed in even years and coincides with the City Council election in May. To help guide Council and staff as we prepare our work plan, we ask citizens to participate in the National Community Survey. This survey was sent out to randomly selected Williamsburg residents in August and asked questions about the level of satisfaction with services, programs, and customer service provided by the City of Williamsburg. Typically, we also host public meetings which provides an opportunity for everyone to participate. COVID-19 has forced us to modify our typical process for gathering public input. We have decided to offer a GIO specific survey, in addition to the National Community Survey, to collect particular information concerning outgoing initiatives and what you feel the focus should be in the next two years. This online survey is open to all citizens.
The following ten questions should not take you long, and the answers will shape the direction of the City for the next two years. Thank you in advance for completing our simple survey. If you have questions regarding the survey, you may contact us at 757-220-6100.
