2022-2027 Bond Program Community Meetings
The Community Meetings will begin in October 2021 and run through December 2021. All the meetings will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center at 900 East Market Street from 6 pm to 8 pm. Parking will be free and meetings will be open to the public.
The schedule of community meetings includes up to four (4) meetings per Committee; however at the Committee's discretion the review and recommendation of projects could be completed in fewer meetings.
Recommended projects will be submitted to City Council and the Mayor for consideration in January 2022. Upon their review and approval, the Mayor and City Council will create a call to action for the Bond Program.
It is anticipated that the 2022 Program will go before the voters for approval in May 2022. To learn more about the 2022-2027 Bond Program.
Residents can sign up for Citizens to be Heard at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center located at 900 E. Market Street. A sign-up table will be available outside the committee meeting room from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Develop a strategic housing bond program that provides affordable housing opportunities through production, preservation, and housing assistance programs targeting the most vulnerable households identified in the city’s Housing Policy Framework and Strategic Housing Implementation Plan. The program will encompass the framework priority areas of protecting and promoting neighborhoods, including preventing displacement, and must be consistent with legally prescribed requirements for expenditure of public bond funds for housing programs.
