Wisconsin Avenue Development Framework
To implement the 2021 update to the Comprehensive Plan, the DC Office of Planning is undertaking the Wisconsin Avenue Development Framework in 2022-2023. The framework will recommend new zoning that can deliver additional housing capacity in this high-opportunity, mixed-use corridor, examining key sites and public space improvements around the Friendship Heights and Tenleytown Metro Station areas.
Wisconsin Ave Community Walk - Tenleytown
Join a community walk organized by the DC Office of Planning and project team to share information about the planning project and listen to the ideas and priorities of the community. The walk will start at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Brandywine Street (behind the Tile Shop at 4530 Wisconsin Avenue) ) and will end around Rodman Street.

Wisconsin Avenue Development Framework Released
On February 16, 2024, the DC Office of Planning released the Wisconsin Avenue Development Framework following an 18-month public planning process. Thank you to the neighbors in Friendship Heights, Tenleytown, and the broader community for active participation in the process.
The Development Framework ensures that future growth and development contribute to greater equity across Rock Creek West, support diverse retail, and enhance quality of life for current and future residents.
