Farber Street Bridge Replacement Project
Farber Street Bridge Replacement Project
The Stark County Engineer's Office, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), is proposing to replace the Farber Street Bridge, which carries TR 281 (Farber Street/Walnut Street) over Nimishillen Creek in Pike Township, Stark County, Ohio. The bridge was originally built in the 1890's. In 1969, new steel beams were placed on the original sandstone foundations. Therefore, the structure is nearing the end of its service life. As part of the bridge project, the Stark County Engineer would like to improve the roadway approaching the bridge, including the tight curves to the east. Studies have been conducted to evaluate options for improving Farber Street over Nimishillen Creek.
