Re-imagining Reeves Public Life Survey

Re-imagining Reeves Public Life Survey

The DC Office of Planning is conducting a short survey on public life and activity in and around the intersection of 14th and U Streets NW, in the heart of the U Street corridor, and we need your help! We would like to hear from you on ways to better preserve or improve the public spaces around this intersection and how we can enhance the types of activities that take place there. Your input will help us come up with a list of recommendations and considerations for future design teams to consider, particularly for the existing public plaza at this location. This survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. Please do share with your friends and neighbors!

Terms to Understand:

Public Life is what people create when they connect with each other in public spaces – the everyday activities that people take part in when they spend time with each other outside their homes and workplaces. Public life is what creates a more lively and active city!

The 14th and U Street NW intersection is the heart of the U Street corridor and the center of one of DC's liveliest neighborhoods. The Frank D. Reeves Center public plaza and surrounding area is steeped in history, culture, and activism. We want to ensure that future designs for the space reflect the heritage and values of the District and its residents.
