Long Range Transportation Plan 2045 Round #1
Long Range Transportation Plan 2045 Round #1
In summer 2020, GTC reached out to its stakeholders seeking public input on issues and opportunities facing the region to inform the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP.) We asked questions ranging from past and future travel behaviors and patterns, assessment of the current transportation system, anticipated challenges, and recommended solutions.
The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a 25-year plan that establishes transportation priorities for the nine county Genesee-Finger Lakes region. The LRTP provides the strategic direction for more detailed planning and implementation of specific transportation projects. In order to obtain federal transportation funding our region must have a long range transportation plan. The LRTP for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region 2045 (LRTP 2045) is currently under development and scheduled to be adopted in June 2021. Once complete, LRTP 2045 will be used by federal, state, and local governments to guide transportation investment decision making in our region.
Two Virtual Open Houses were held.
Thursday, August 20 from noon to 1 PM
Tuesday, August 25 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM

Genesee Transportation Council is developing the next Long Range Transportation Plan for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region. The Plan will inform transportation decision making about transportation system investments over the next 25 years. This brief survey is your chance to provide your thoughts on transportation facilities and services in the region. The results will be used to help identify transportation priorities and needs that will be incorporated into the Plan.
