The project is intended to improve the safety and operation of this intersection. This intersection is currently listed on the Governor’s Top 150 list for intersection improvements, due to the higher than anticipated number of crashes reported at this intersection (75 reported crashes between 2015 and 2017).

The safety study looked at 2 build conditions to address the issues with the intersection of State Route 315 and Jewett Road in Delaware County Ohio.
ODOT is also looking to evaluate a No Build condition as part of the Feasibility Study.
