Vessel Adaptive Management Survey
Vessel Adaptive Management Survey
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is drafting a report to the Legislature this fall to evaluate the effectiveness of rules for recreational and commercial whale watching vessels operating near Southern Resident killer whales. To help inform the report, the Department is looking for public feedback on the rules and invites members of the public to use the following survey to share your feedback and perspectives. The survey, which is likely to take 15 to 30 minutes to complete, is available through Sept. 30.
Later this fall, WDFW staff will be reviewing survey responses it receives as they draft the report, which is due to the Legislature by Nov. 30.
This survey is provided by WDFW. For more information, or for technical assistance, please contact WDFW's Killer Whale Policy Lead, Julie Watson, at julie.watson@dfw.wa.gov.
Thank you for your interest in giving feedback to Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) on the commercial whale watching licensing program, rules for commercial viewing of SRKW, and general rules for vessels aimed at protecting and recovering Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKW). This survey is divided into several sections to guide you through providing the feedback you are most interested in providing. You do not have to answer any questions, and you may choose to remain anonymous or provide your contact info at the end of the survey.
