City of Raleigh staff have identified four potential locations where it is possible to install a pedestrian refuge island without blocking left turns.

 Pedestrian refuge island on Wake Forest Road

These locations are at:

  • Horton Street;
  • The I-440 eastbound ramps;
  • Stillwater Drive; and,
  • Thomas Road.
