Do you have other ideas you would like us to consider?
Six Forks already sounds like a race track at night. Additional lanes will encourage more speeding and dodging in and out of traffic. Adding 2 additional lanes and then having to merge back to the original number of lanes will only cause more congestion. No way would I ride a bike along Six Forks Rd., even with bike lanes added. Lots of better streets in the area with less traffic for bike-riding. Cancel the idea. The new buildings being built at North Hills Mall are hideous and an eye sore.

Omit adding lanes as they will only encourage more speeding AND more traffic. Added lanes won't solve any congestion problems, they will ADD to the congestion. Focus on safe enhanced pedestrian crossings at ALL intersections Rowan through Millbrook.

Add dedicated bus lane, intersection improvements and bicycle/ped/crossing improvements Rowan to Lynn.

Make fewer car lanes, and more uninterrupted local multi-use paths. Stop prioritizing cars over people. When I want to go to the beach I use a car, but not when I want to get milk and bread from a store half mile away. Putting car lanes and parking everywhere makes the city and the traffic worse for everybody.

I do not support any of the four options proposed in the online survey. I would recommend moving ahead to acquire all the private property identified in the current design from Rowan to Lynn.
