How would you like to use the park in the future? What would you like to see included in the design?
I’m pleased that lighting is being considered/addressed here. Thst corner is very dark. Perhaps a couple of Carlyle’ streetlights in addition to the other lighting? Also, while I realize the wall is not included in this project it would be nice if “Histotic Restaurant Row” could be added somewhere.

To rest when I'm inbetween errands. It would also be a useful place to wait for the busy. I think the design should make it clear it is a park. I thought it was connected to the pawn shop so people were not allowed to sit there.

A place to sit and eat. Shade would be good. A play feature for kids would be great.

Minimal impervious surface. Maximum tree canopy. Please keep the park natural as much as possible; there are plenty of places to go outside that has built infrastructure, fewer and fewer places where we can be in nature. Research continues to stres the mental and physical benefits of being in a natural environment. Please preserve as much as possible.

This project includes the recommendation to remove both non-native Amur maple trees currently at the site, which are on the County's invasive threat list. This would maximize flexibility and the opportunity to create a redesigned park. The existing Linden tree will remain, and new replacement tree(s) are proposed.

Do you support a newly redesigned park with the removal of the non-native and invasive Amur maple trees?
  • 5465%Yes, I support the vision for a new park design and new trees
  • 1619%No, I do not support a new design and want all existing trees kept
  • 1316%I am not sure
