why can't wake forest and raleigh get on the same page with N raleigh ? Why is NCDOT allowing the continued growth without making sure infrastructure is in place?
This post card sent out and this questionnaire are too open ended to know what in the heck you are asking for. This area in Wakefield is commercially zoned and, for the most part, built out. When Wakefield was started in 1999 the commercial areas were started with a classic aesthetic as a rule, but now the City of Raleigh has allowed them to plunk down an ugly Sheets store in bright red and florescent light right in the middle of the neighborhood. Behind it was allowed a senior living structure that is a big yellow box with little landscaping. So why even ask us what we would like when the City will just do what ever they want anyway? You are waisting my time.
If the road is already at an E category for streets and traffic, what is the projections for the area at the current level of growth; What are the projections with an accelerated growth ?
There is a large watershed on Rich Creek that runs though Wakefield. Right now large fences and debris blocks access to the watershed. How could you turn this eye sore into an attractive feature that benefits residents of this area of Raleigh and enhances the environment of this watershed?
The above link for "project description" not work, therefore it is impossible to read the details. What exactly is the purpose of the study? What are the goals and objectives of the survey?
Although this area is a Raleigh planning event, the impact is adversely affected due to the Wake Forest growth and lack of coordinated efforts between the two cities as well as coordination with NCDOT
If new store are added to the area, please make sure the parking is not blocking the street - as in Chick-Fil-A blocking the streets. This is a safety issue.
