Wayne County, NY: All-Hazards Mitigation Plan Open Comment Survey
The Wayne County Emergency Management Office (EMO), in partnership with Tennessee-based BOLDplanning, Inc, is in the process of updating the County's All-Hazards Mitigation Plan Update. Mitigation planning helps local leaders better understand risks from natural hazards and develop long-term strategies that will reduce the impact of future events on people, property, and the environment. As part of the activity, the County, including the jurisdictions Towns of Arcadia, Butler, Galen, Huron, Lyons, Macedon, Marion, Ontario, Palmyra, Rose, Savannah, Sodus, Walworth, Williamson, and Wolcott; and the Villages of Clyde, Newark, Palmyra, Red Creek, Sodus, Sodus Point, and Wolcott, New York, is seeking feedback from residents and businesses to incorporate into the plan. Please review the plan's draft located on the County's website and use this survey to provide feedback and input on this Hazard Mitigation Plan update before submission to the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services (NYS DHSES) and FEMA.
