Project Description
The project proposes to improve the Spruce Avenue Bridge in the City of Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio. The project will include replacing the existing bridge with a new bridge in its existing location. The project will also include the necessary approach and intersection work to accommodate the increase in vertical profile for the clearance requirements over the CSX railroad. A small amount of temporary and permanent right-of-way will be required from properties adjacent to the bridge for construction access and work on the bridge approaches and nearby intersections. A full closure of the bridge is expected, and vehicular and pedestrian detour routes will be provided. Construction is expected to begin in May 2025.
