It would be nice to have a bus line where thousands of people live.

I’m disappointed that our area cannot get CapMetro service but are expected to house the operations and maintenance facility for the buses. We are in need of road repairs, food options, and safe recreational options, not more warehouses and facilities. I’m also concerned how this...See More

Thousands of homes in neighboring developments. Zero public transportation. Zero. Still, you want to place an ops/maintenance facility here? My advice: Begin with an announcement of forthcoming public transportation services--or an explanation for why no such services are planned...See More

We need a park and ride near pioneer hill. Shuttle service to ut, then downtown would be great!

Pedestrian access to the facilities would be really nice. And possibly parking and shuttles to nearby transit hubs if the buses are running from the area anyway

Frequently Asked Questions

Capital Metro is currently working with Travis County on the preparation of a traffic impact study.  Road and safety improvements are anticipated which may include an extra turn lane into the CapMetro facility and safety provisions at the intersection of Cameron Road and Blue Goose Road.  Coordination with the County is in progress.

A multi-purpose community room will be built as part of the facility. This room will be near the front of the facility and can be used by both the public and CapMetro for community events and group gatherings such as for voting days, community meetings, neighborhood association meetings, etc.  The details and logistics of the room are still being developed, but we anticipate the room will be available through a reservation system. Feel free to propose recommendations for the community space in the "additional feedback" response section of the survey.

Approximately 220 Demand Response transit vehicles, a central warehouse and storage building, a multi-use community room, provisions for future electric transit vehicles, maintenance bays, a fueling and service island, operations and administrative staff offices, a radio dispatch center, a customer call center, staff training & conference rooms, a vehicles training course, and visitor & staff parking.
