North Base Demand Response Facility & Central Warehouse
North Base Demand Response Facility & Central Warehouse
In 2025, CapMetro will begin construction on an operations and maintenance facility for our CapMetro Access and Pickup service, plus a new central warehouse, on 25 acres of land at 10805 Cameron Rd (Southwest intersection of Cameron Rd. and Blue Goose Rd.).
CapMetro aims to meet the demands of the growing workforce and ridership by building a LEED-certified, sustainably built, and thoughtfully designed facility that accommodates the growing fleet, improves logistics for materials and parts storage, and generates workforce opportunities to support the local community. A multi-use public community space will also be included in the project. If you live or work in the area, please view the project proposal and leave additional feedback below!

Frequently Asked Questions
Capital Metro is currently working with Travis County on the preparation of a traffic impact study. Road and safety improvements are anticipated which may include an extra turn lane into the CapMetro facility and safety provisions at the intersection of Cameron Road and Blue Goose Road. Coordination with the County is in progress.
A multi-purpose community room will be built as part of the facility. This room will be near the front of the facility and can be used by both the public and CapMetro for community events and group gatherings such as for voting days, community meetings, neighborhood association meetings, etc. The details and logistics of the room are still being developed, but we anticipate the room will be available through a reservation system. Feel free to propose recommendations for the community space in the "additional feedback" response section of the survey.
