What is the Project?
The Stark County Engineer's Office, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), is planning to improve the intersection of State Street (CR31) and Cleveland Avenue (CR66) in Lake Township, Stark County.
The goal of the project is to reduce congestion and enhance safety while preserving the character of Greentown Square. A feasibility study completed in July of 2025 looked at 21 different scenarios and determined that a single lane roundabout is the best solution. The project will also include new sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and crosswalks. It's anticipated that construction will begin in 2028.

A Public Open House was held in August of 2025 to collect public comments and answer questions about the proposed project.
