Ms. Colleen Green, Acting Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will host a Public Hearing to discuss the District’s goals and findings in the Regional Housing Equity Report and Needs Assessment for the FY 2024 Annual Action Plan.

The Needs Assessment hearing will help form a basis for developing the District’s draft “District of Columbia’s Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Action Plan”. Input from stakeholders will assist in identifying the spending priorities utilizing federal entitlement funds. DHCD will also release surveys to assist stakeholders in assessing the needs in their community.

Residents and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to come out and participate in the development of policies and programs in the following areas: 1) affordable housing; 2) special needs housing; 3) homelessness; 4) homeownership; and 5) community development and public service activities.

After the hearing, the District will collect comments, testimony, and feedback to draft the action plan. The Annual Actip Plan will be presented to the public in July.
