Marsh Creek & Trawick Road Pre-Design Meeting Survey
Marsh Creek & Trawick Road Pre-Design Meeting Survey
The City is planning to widen Marsh Creek Road and Trawick Road to three lanes from Capital Boulevard to New Hope Road.
We want the corridor to be safe, convenient, and comfortable for all modes of transportation. Proposed Improvements include:
Sidewalks;
Curb & gutter; (facilitates drainage from the roadway, protects private property)
Enhanced bus stops;
Bicycle infrastructure;
Street trees; and,
Traffic calming.
Public involvement is an integral part of the project development process, and the City of Raleigh encourages public involvement during the design process. Your feedback is important to us. We consider the comments and responses to the online survey, and our design team does their best to address them.
Please take a moment to answer the questions below before March 12, 2020.

Our engineers are proposing a Roundabout at the intersection of Trawick Road and Marsh Creek Road. Roundabout Advantages: (Based on NHWA and NCDOT reports)
Reduce crash severity for all users
Pedestrians must consider only one direction of conflicting traffic at a time
Reduces vehicular speeds
Provide more time for all users to detect and correct for their mistakes or mistakes of others
Fewer overall conflict points and no left-turn conflicts
