Vessel Science Survey
Vessel Science Survey
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is drafting a report to the Legislature this fall to evaluate the effectiveness of rules for recreational and commercial whale watching vessels operating near Southern Resident killer whales. The Department is inviting the public to submit any relevant scientific studies published since 2020 and encouraging researchers to share their studies, either underway or completed, that could inform the report.
Please use the following survey to submit relevant studies or research. Thank you for your time and participation!
Step 1
Are there any scientific studies or reports that have been published between June 2020 and present that you believe provide relevant insight to adaptively managing the commercial whale watching license, rules for motorized and non-motorized commercial whale watching of Southern Resident killer whales, or rules for boating around Southern Resident killer whales?
