San Antonio Public Library Board of Trustees

The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) Board of Trustees is responsible for the management, care, control, and maintenance of all library system properties, consisting of the downtown Central Library, 29 library outlets, and a team of more than 550 employees for the delivery of library services to approximately 1.9 million residents in San Antonio and Bexar County. The board is composed of 11 trustees: 10 District-appointed Members appointed by their respective Councilmembers and one member appointed by the Mayor. Trustees each serve a two-year term of office concurrent with the term of the appointing City Councilmember.
