PROJECT OVERVIEW & UPDATE
Welcome! We are excited that you have visited the site and have an interest in the development of a Community Park in the Northwest Region of Concord. Development of this park is a top priority of the City's Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and also a top City Council goal. The City has partnered with Woolpert’s Charlotte office, who specializes in park planning and design, to prepare concepts and a final master plan for the property. We have already received over 1,000 responses and 500 written comments from the community from the first two online surveys, and received input from the October 2020 Community Meeting and various focus groups and stakeholders as well.
We have balanced all of the requests from this community engagement, and have produced two concepts for your consideration with variations on layout and arrangement of park programs.
