Wake BRT: Rapid Bus Ext. Study - Southern - Evaluating Alternatives
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is conducting the Wake BRT: Rapid Bus Extensions Study. The Southern Corridor portion of the study includes the area between Garner and Clayton, which primarily follows the US 70/US 70 Business corridor from Fayetteville Road to US 70 just south of Clayton. The proposed rapid service would extend from the terminus of the Wake BRT: Southern Corridor (Raleigh to Garner) segment, near the Garner Station south of the US 401/US 70 interchange.
Thank you for participating in this brief survey.
Where are we now?
We are currently in the Alternatives phase of the study process; to identify and evaluate alternatives. Info about the first phase, details on the virtual open house and other materials for this "Evaluating Alternatives" phase can be found at www.WakeBRTExtensionsStudy.com.
After initial screening and community engagement, the study team identified one (1) primary alignment along US 70 / US 70 Business to extend the planned Wake Bus Rapid Transit (BRT): Southern Corridor from Garner to Clayton, with two alternative routes at each endpoint. Your responses are a key component in the process to narrow the Alternatives down to one preferred alternative that will be recommended for implementation.
