  • The Capitol Avenue reconstruction project is moving along. The Capitol segment from Fredericksburg to Mistletoe is currently under construction and scheduled to be complete by the end of August.
  • Construction work on W. Woodlawn Avenue (Fredericksburg to Michigan) is all that remains on this 2022 Bond F-Street project. This segment is currently on hold while we evaluate the completed work with the contractor. A portion of this area deviated from the design plans and we are determining next steps.

Project Update: April 21, 2026

A reminder that Woodlawn Ave. between Fredericksburg and Michigan is closed to through traffic during working hours. This closure will be enforced for public safety purposes. The road currently has excavated areas that have been impacted by the inclement weather. Residents will still be able to access their homes.

Thank you for your patience while we respond to this rain event.

Project Update: April 10, 2026

Temporary pause in construction due to forecasted rain: The current project stage includes excavation, which should not be done during inclement weather. Crews will return as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
