This transformative project will reimagine Tuckaseegee Park and Recreation Center (located at 4820 Tuckaseegee Rd, Charlotte, NC 28208), an important recreation center and park in West Charlotte originally constructed in 1974. The projects seeks to update facilities for modern use, align space and program offerings with changing community needs and provide new amenities previously unavailable at the site. The project scope may include an indoor gym, multipurpose and meeting rooms, fitness rooms, locker rooms/restrooms, administrative space, outdoor swimming pool, and other site improvements.
Phase 1: Public Input, Site Analysis, Master Planning, Concept Design – ongoing through 2026
Phase 2 : Design and Construction of reimagined Park, Recreation Center and Aquatic Center – starting in 2027 (several year process)

The public input process will include online surveys, information sessions, public meetings, and stakeholder meetings starting in early 2026 to inform the design and implementation.
