  • The Safety Element contains goals, policies, and actions to address hazards and response, including geologic, fire, flooding, climate change resiliency, drought, hazardous materials, and emergency planning/response.
  • The Environmental Justice & Health Element contains goals, policies, and actions to promote equity in access, equity in environment, equity in civic engagement opportunities, and equity in generations.

Below are proposed Policies related to the proposed Safety Element and Environmental Justice & Health Element. Each Policy also has associated Actions that implement the Policy. NEXT STEPS

Staff and the consultant team will be preparing the public review drafts of the Safety Element and Environmental Justice & Health Element for review at an upcoming Planning Commission meeting. Planning Commission will provide recommendations on the documents, and City Council will consider approval of the Elements at a subsequent City Council meeting.
