Waller Creek Boathouse Conditional Use Permit Feedback
The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a conditional use permit (CUP) to come into compliance with City Code for the sale of alcohol at the Austin Rowing Club at Waller Creek Boathouse. The process is part of the department's response to the 2020 review, which found locations in need of the CUP to continue the sale of alcohol. As part of the process, the Department is seeking feedback from individuals who would like to provide any comments regarding the department's efforts to come into compliance with the Austin City Code of Ordinances. Waller Creek Boathouse
The Perch (formerly Alta Café) is a café-style vendor that sells food and beverages to visitors at the Waller Creek Boathouse. The Perch has been selling wine and beer under its TABC license since 2012 at the Waller Creek Boathouse. The Perch is the vendor directly under contract with the Austin Rowing Club, the primary concessionaire at the Waller Creek Boathouse. The CUP sets the boundaries for the day-to-day sale and consumption area for The Perch, which does not include special events. The special events processes are separate from the CUP process.
