3 Mile Road (Monroe to Plainfield)

Construction is expected to start in 2026 or 2027

This is a resurfacing project. Contractors will replace the road and upgrade what is listed below:

• Replace the existing road surface with new layers of asphalt.
• Install a roundabout at the 3 Mile and Coit intersection.
• Remove the bicycle lanes from the street to narrow the street.
• Install a new shared use pathway on the north side of the street. This work will require removal of trees and landscaping. The pathway will be installed on City property.
• Upgrade existing sidewalks and curb ramps to meet the American with Disabilities Act standards.
• Replace most driveway approaches.
• Plant new street trees.
• Install tree wells to help capture stormwater.
