Summerfield Community Park Improvements
Welcome to the virtual public engagement opportunity for the Summerfield Community Park Improvements Project. Your responses will help Hillsborough County gain insight into the community’s desire for the proposed improvements. This virtual public engagement is open from Jan. 25 to Feb. 8, 2024.
Hillsborough County has approved an agreement for the transfer of an 11.47-acre parcel of land within the Summerfield community to the County for use as a public park. The property is on the north side of Fairway Meadow Drive, adjacent to Summerfield Crossing Elementary School and the Summerfield Master Community Complex. Currently, the parcel is undergoing pre-closing due diligence and will be designated as “Summerfield Community Park” in the future.
Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation is seeking community input regarding potential future uses for this public park. The Park will be owned by the County and operated by Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation. Currently, the park amenities include two baseball fields that need repair and refurbishment.
The amenities at the Summerfield Master Community Association Complex will remain under the operations of the Summerfield HOA.
