The Town of Zebulon is actively developing the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 budget, which will guide our community's investments and resource allocation from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Your engagement matters!  

The FY 2026 budget outlines how the Town of Zebulon will allocate its resources over the next fiscal year. Staff is preparing a proposed budget that addresses the community's needs and aligns with our strategic goals. This budget is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the services and infrastructure that make Zebulon a great place to live. We invite you to participate in this important process and help us prioritize our community's needs. The Board of Commissioners will carefully review the Manager's Proposed Budget and will incorporate public feedback to ensure the budget reflects the priorities of Zebulon residents.

Department Budget Presentations

The Board of Commissioners will host a series of meetings to hear preentations from Town Departmente regarding operating and capital budget requests. These sessions offer an opportunity to learn more about the proposed budget. They are each held at 6 PM at Zebulon Town Hall and are recorded.

Manager's Budget Presentation

The Manager will present his recommended budget to the Board of Commissioners on May 20th at 6 PM at Town Hall. The presentation will include community feedback from the online survey and will seek to engage to Board in further discussion about the budget.

Board Budget Retreat

The Board of Commissioners will meet to discuss the presented budgets and community feedback. They will proivde direction to Management on budget revisions and considerations.  This meeting will be held on June 7th at 8:30 AM at Town Hall.

Budget Public Hearing

The Board of Commissioners will receive comment from the public regarding the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. This meeting will be held June 2nd at 6 PM at Zebulon Town Hall.

Budget Discussion and Adoption

The Board will meet to futher discuss the budget and will consider adoption on June 16th at 6PM at Town Hall. Should the Board need more time, they will meet on June 23rd at 6PM.
