Building Austin
Building Austin
Capital Delivery Services welcomes communities to learn more about projects that are reshaping local areas at our Building Austin informational sessions.
Our first Building Austin event of 2025 will be held both virtually and in-person at the Turner Roberts Recreation Center (7201 Colony Loop Dr, Austin, TX 78724) on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Keeping up with Austinites
The City of Austin Capital Delivery Services builds public projects to support the community. To meet the city's expanding needs, the department manages over $10 billion in City infrastructure projects. These public projects, also known as capital improvement projects, can range from Fire/EMS stations to parks, libraries, roads, bridges, trails, and more. These enhancements support Austin's vibrant community.
The Vision
Capital Delivery Services is working to build the City of Austin in collaboration with the community to enrich the experience of all who live, work, and play here.
Reshaping Your Communities
Building Austin is a chance to learn more about the public projects that are reshaping and reinvigorating the Capitol City. Each session in the traveling informational event series will focus on local projects, including how they will benefit the area and what changes to expect. The quarterly series will also provide information on the Corridor Mobility Program, which was funded by the 2016 Mobility Bond and dedicated to the improvement of nine major Austin corridors. These corridors will underpin the city's transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion, minimize carbon footprints, and enhance safe mobility options for all Austinites, whether driving, walking, wheeling, or biking.
