Applicant ability to self-certify (w/potential fee)

Initiative Statement

By April 2024, the City will identify instances an applicant can self-certify and defer compliance to after Site Plan approval. If self-certification is possible, the City will execute the plan October 1, 2024 to coincide with fees and new fiscal year.

Initiative Update

Work on this initiative has ended. Staff from across the City assessed these opportunities along with areas where deferred compliance is possible. After analysis, staff determined that self-certification lacked Land Development Code support and could jeopardize public health and welfare. Staff did identifies areas where deferred compliance is possible to future stages in land development and will continue to refine those procedures to streamline the site plan permitting process.
