Bus Shelter Design Survey
Bus Shelter Design Survey
The Charlotte Area Transit Center (CATS) is designing the next generation of bus shelters and we want to hear from you!
Through the Envision My Ride Bus Priority Study, CATS developed a bus stop improvement plan which includes the following:
More bus stop amenities systemwide including shelters, lighting, and wayfinding information
Bus stop design improvements to ensure that stops are accessible for all users
Mobility Hubs, or enhanced transit stops, to improve transfer connections between buses and other modes of travel (such as ride share programs and bicycles)
This survey will collect input from community members to help inform the design of new bus shelters that will be installed systemwide. This new shelter design will also incorporate art glass to help improve the overall look and feel of the bus stop.
Please complete the following questions to help us identify shelter design solutions that work best for you:
CATS is working with two local artists, Nico Amortegui and Bree Stallings, to design art glass for the new bus shelters. Please answer the below questions to help inform their creative process. CATS will share the initial concepts at a future date for public input before finalizing the designs.
