"Wilson builds on its strong planning foundations and creates a connected community of historic and new spaces that provide for a diversity of land use needs – employment, shopping and entertainment, and residential. These spaces support the needs of the local workforce and residents.

Wilson enhances quality of life by supporting reinvestment in existing neighborhoods and commercial areas, encouraging new employment and residential growth in targeted locations, improving the character and quality of development, and using more sustainable and resilient development approaches that ensure a quality built environment for future generations of Wilsonians."
