Developing Nashville’s Community Safety Plan
Developing Nashville’s Community Safety Plan
Mayor O'Connell, in partnership with the Metro Public Health Department, is launching a comprehensive, citywide community engagement process as a first step in creating Nashville’s first-ever Community Safety Plan. This effort will take place from January through June and is designed to ensure that every resident has a voice in helping to shape a safer, more connected Nashville.
This engagement process will bring together residents, grassroots organizations, government agencies, youth, and community leaders to identify priorities and solutions that strengthen safety and wellbeing across Davidson County.
The process includes:
- A mayoral appointed taskforce that will meet monthly.
- Countywide community engagement sessions open to all Nashville residents. Dates forthcoming.
- Listening sessions with stakeholders, including people with lived experience and grassroots organization leadership.
