Downtown Parking Study
Downtown Parking Study
The City of Concord is updating its Downtown Parking Study and invites residents, business owners, employees, property owners, and visitors to attend a Community Open House to learn more about the study and share feedback to help guide recommendations.
The study is part of the City’s ongoing mission to enhance the quality of life and provide excellent service by planning for the future and collaborating with the community. One way the City routinely plans for the future needs of the community is through parking management studies.
The last downtown parking studies were conducted in 2016 and again in 2021 as part of the Downtown Master Plan Update. The 2021 Downtown Master Plan parking study examined existing parking supply and utilization and projected the future five-year demand. As the five-year period has expired, it is time for the City to update the study and reexamine current parking supply and demand, review parking management practices, and identify opportunities for future improvements. Community feedback will play a key role in shaping recommendations that balance the needs of residents, businesses, employees, and visitors.
