Housing Administrative Criteria Manual Review
Housing Administrative Criteria Manual Review
We are seeking your feedback. The City is reviewing rules in its Administrative Criteria Manuals that affect housing development, as outlined in a memo to Mayor and Council. The goal is to see how these rules work in practice and find ways to make them clearer, more consistent, and easier to follow during design, review, and inspection.
As part of this effort, the Technical Advisory Review Panel will begin reviewing selected rules to see if they are working as intended or need further analysis.
We are asking developers, designers, and other housing professionals to share feedback on rules that may cause delays, confusion, or extra work during housing projects. Your input will help decide which rules TARP should review first.
What to Submit
Please provide:
- The rule number and title, rule section, or rule related topics/issues
- The Administrative Criteria Manual(s) where it appears
- The stage(s) affected (design, review, inspection)
- A short description of the problem
All rules in the City's eight Administrative Criteria Manuals that regulate land development are eligible. The deadline to submit feedback is April 8, 2026.
How Feedback Will Be Used
Staff will collect and review submissions. Feedback will be sent to TARP for further review. Providing input does not guarantee a rule will be changed, but it helps the City focus on rules that may need attention.
Thank you for helping improve the housing development process.
