A Brief History of the Pinecrest Sports Complex
The Pinecrest Sports Complex has long been a cornerstone of community recreation in southeastern Hillsborough County. The land was originally acquired by the County in 1975.
As part of a capital improvement project in the late 1990s, a facility was completed and opened to the public in 1997. The location was formerly known as Lithia Pinecrest District Park Baseball.
Since the early 2000s, the complex has grown alongside the community, providing state-of-the-art facilities for baseball, soccer, and other activities. It is now a hub for youth sports leagues, tournaments, and community events.
The Pinecrest Sports Complex’s development reflects the County’s commitment to fostering active lifestyles and bringing residents together through the love of sports.
