What you need to know:
E-Z Bel Construction is continuing to make roadway and sidewalk improvements along Babcock Road.
Upcoming Work & Traffic Changes:
Starting as early as Wednesday, September 2, 2026, traffic will shift to the east side of Babcock Road so crews can begin construction on the west side. This phase is expected to last through the end of 2026.
Traffic Details:
The southbound lane on the west side of Babcock Rd. will be closed.
Traffic will remain open in both directions at all times.
The west sidewalk along Babcock Rd. will be closed between Hausman Road and UTSA Boulevard. A dedicated pedestrian path will be available starting at the middle of the block and heading north toward UTSA Boulevard.
Access to all neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and UTSA will remain open.
Street parking is strictly prohibited within the active construction zone.
Please follow all traffic signals, reduced speed limits, and digital message boards when driving through the area.
