Join Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez and the District 8 team for a Teen Mental Health Community Town Hall on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Oak Meadow United Methodist Church.

This important conversation will bring together community partners—including Metro Health, UT Teen Health, the SAPD Mental Health Unit, and the District 8 Youth Commission Appointees—to discuss youth mental health, available resources, and how we can better support teens and families in our community.

Residents are encouraged to attend, learn, and participate in the conversation.

We will exchange a bag of dog or cat food (at least 5 lbs.) for a District 8 Fiesta medal. 

All donations will support Animal Care Services and the San Antonio Humane Society.

 

**Bring a bag of pet food (5 lbs or more) to receive one medal. Limit of one medal per bag. Medals available while supplies last.

Join Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez for the D8 Clean Out!, a convenient drive-through event designed to help District 8 residents responsibly dispose of household items they no longer need. From electronics (anything with a cable), TVs, computers, monitors, and printers to old furniture, textiles, batteries, and more, this is your opportunity to declutter while ensuring items are handled properly and sustainably.

We will also have on-site paper shredding available, making it easy to securely dispose of sensitive documents.

Location: University Methodist Church – North Campus
