Four Mile Creek Greenway Connection
This funding will be used to develop a new and accessible bicycle/pedestrian point of access to Four Mile Creek Greenway from the White Oak neighborhood. The funding will become available during County fiscal year 2026 which begins in july 2025. A public information session will be held during design.
Improved access is proposed at the following existing facilities:
• Colonel Francis Beatty Park
• Four Mile Creek Greenway
• Idlewild Park
• Kilborne Park
• Little Sugar Creek Greenway
• McDowell Creek Greenway
• Nevin Park
• Renaissance Park
• Westerly Hills Park
• Winterfield Park
• Matching funds for a bicycle/pedestrian accommodations on the Wilkinson Boulevard/Highway 74 bridge replacement over the Catawba River.
