Project Details:

This project includes signalizing two intersections, Lumsden Road at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Kensington Ridge Boulevard and Lumsden Road at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Paddock Club Drive.  This project will improve transportation mobility and safety for vehicles and pedestrians at intersections. 

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2023 and is expected to be complete by early 2024. Elements of the project will include:

• Signalizing the intersection of Lumsden Road at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Kensington Ridge Boulevard.
• Signalizing the intersection of Lumsden Road at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Paddock Club Drive.
• Extending the existing eastbound left-turn lane at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Kensington Ridge Boulevard.
• Extending the existing westbound left-turn lane at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Paddock Club Drive.
• Upgrade pedestrian facilities on all four quadrants of both intersections, including:
  • Retrofitting for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements to provide services that improve access for all roadway users.  
  • Adding/reconstructing sidewalks, pedestrian curb ramps, and crosswalks.

During this time, residents and motorists traveling on Lumsden Road at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Kensington Ridge Boulevard and Lumsden Road at Heather Lakes Boulevard/Paddock Club Drive should be aware of the following:

• Lane closures may occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Night work may be necessary for signal construction over the roadway(s) between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m.
