Share Feedback on Two Draft Concepts for Arlington Hall West Park
As the playground at Arlington Hall West Park approaches the end of its lifecycle, it's time for a renovation! This Parks Maintenance Capital project will include demolition, site work, design and construction. This project will consist of the replacement of the playground in Arlington Hall West Park and is funded by the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The new playground will serve pre-school children (ages 2-5) and school-age children (ages 5-12).
Below is a questionnaire that details the project scope, existing conditions at the park, and two new draft concepts for the playground. Please review all included materials and then share your thoughts by Sunday, October 4. Staff read every comment and your feedback will inform the development of the final draft design.
Project Scope:
- Install new play equipment for 2-5 and 5-12 year-old age groups
- Update site furnishings and seating options
- Upgrade the shade structure
- Improve accessibility throughout the site
- Improve stormwater management
- Improve tree health and landscaping at the site
This project will try to avoid any impacts to the existing path that leads to George Mason Drive. We expect the path to remain open throughout the duration of the project.
