William R. Davie Park Improvements
William R. Davie Park is a 107 acre regional park located at 4635 Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte, NC 28226. The park offers multi-purpose fields, ball fields, playgrounds, parking, restrooms, picnic areas, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a dog park, indoor pavilion/conference center, and a recycling center.
The William R. Davie Conference Center includes meeting rooms, full service kitchen, restrooms, outdoor grill, an outdoor arch and a small playground. More information: https://parkandrec.mecknc.gov/places-to-visit/event-spaces-and-venues/william-r-davie-conference-center
Park Improvements will include:
- Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation has initiated design for improvements to the existing dog park that will address accessibility and maintainability. See details below.
- Mecklenburg County Solid Waste and Recycling Division and Park and Recreation Department are working in partnership to improve the recycling-only center at the William Davie Park and replace the current un-staffed recycling bins with a staffed location to reduce recycling contamination. - In spring 2024, the existing playground structures were replaced by Park and Recreation.
