CORE Survey on MD Consolidated Transportation Program
CORE Survey on MD Consolidated Transportation Program
Thank you for your ongoing participation in the Transportation CORE! This month we are digging into the planning process for the state’s Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP) and your jurisdiction’s process for developing their lists of priorities.
The CTP Tour process recently concluded and we want to gauge how well the current process works for the public and key stakeholders.
Can you please take a few minutes to review the information on the 3 tabs below and answer the following questions? Your feedback will be shared with MDOT and other BRTB members in an effort to help improve the state and local planning process.
What is the CTP?
The Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP) is Maryland's six-year capital budget for transportation projects. View the 2024-2029 Draft CTP
The CTP contains projects and programs across the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and includes funding for:
- Maryland State Highway Administration
- Maryland Transit Administration
- Maryland Port Administration
- Maryland Aviation Administration
- Maryland Transportation Authority (Toll Authority) and
- Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration
- Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (funded by MD, VA and DC)
The kinds of projects funded in the CTP include environmental studies and planning, project design, and construction.
All of the Baltimore region projects that include federal funding in the state's CTP eventually end up in the regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).
