US 401 Corridor Study - Phase 2 (Fall 2022)
US 401 Corridor Study - Phase 2 (Fall 2022)
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is conducting a corridor study of approximately 19 miles of U.S. 401 from Banks Road in Wake County south through the Town of Fuquay-Varina to the N.C. 210 and U.S 421 intersection in the Town of Lillington in Harnett County. Approximately seven miles for the proposed Future U.S. 401 is also being studied. Based on previous public input that helped develop a study area vision, goals, and provided feedback on a variety of potential roadway alignment options, the study team has released three (3) alternative alignment options for public review and input.
Your feedback in this survey will inform the selection of one recommended alignment for the Future U.S. 401. This survey will remain open until December 16, 2022.
The Future U.S. 401 is needed to accommodate future population and employment growth and accompanying traffic growth expected in the area through 2050.
