Ready Together: The Basics of Emergency Preparedness - Heat & Water Module
Learn from experts about the 4 pillars of preparedness: make a plan, build a kit, know your neighbors, and stay informed. You'll learn how to create a family emergency plan, assemble a disaster supply kit tailored to your household's needs, build connections with neighbors who can provide support during emergencies, and access trusted sources of information before, during, and after an incident. Whether you're new to preparedness or looking to refresh your skills, this training will provide simple, actionable steps to help you and your loved ones stay safer and more resilient year-round.
With summer right around the corner, we'll place special focus on water and heat safety, including how to recognize drowning hazards, stay safe during recreational water activities, and prevent heat-related illnesses. Learn practical tips to help protect yourself, your family, and your community while enjoying time outdoors. From lakes and pools to parks and trails, you'll gain valuable information that can help you make safer decisions and respond confidently when emergencies happen.
This training is designed for all levels of preparedness knowledge and is a great opportunity to build confidence, learn life-saving information, and take proactive steps to better prepare for emergencies before they happen.
