North Lamar Transit Center Station Area Vision Plan & related Neighborhood Plan Amendments
Following City Council acceptance of the ETOD Policy Plan in March of 2023, a planning process was kicked off to support Equitable Transit-Oriented Development (ETOD) in the North Lamar Transit Center (NLTC) Station Area. This process involved three rounds of community engagement that informed the draft NLTC Station Area Vision Plan detailing the community’s vision for future development in this area. This Vision Plan, which is currently available for public review, includes a proposed Future Land Use Map (FLUM) that intersects with existing Neighborhood Plan FLUMs.
As a companion to the possible adoption of the NLTC Station Area Vision Plan, the City is proposing this application to amend the North Lamar Combined Neighborhood Plan (Georgian Acres NP), North Austin Civic Association (NACA) Neighborhood Plan, Brentwood/Highland Combined Neighborhood Plan (Highland NP), Crestview/Wooten Combined Neighborhood Plan (Crestview NP), and Crestview/Wooten Combined Neighborhood Plan (Wooten NP), to remove the existing FLUM designation from the specified properties proposed to be covered by the NLTC Station Area Vision Plan FLUM. Tras la aceptación del Plan de Política ETOD por parte del Consejo de la Ciudad en marzo de 2023, se inició un proceso de planificación para apoyar el Desarrollo Orientado al Transporte Equitativo (ETOD) en el área de la estación de North Lamar Transit Center (NLTC). Este proceso involucró tres rondas de participación comunitaria que informaron el borrador del Plan de Visión del Área de la Estación NLTC que detalla la visión de la comunidad para el desarrollo futuro en esta área. Este Plan de Visión, que actualmente está disponible para revisión pública, incluye una propuesta de Mapa de Uso Futuro de la Tierra (FLUM) que se cruza con los FLUMS de los Planes Vecinales existentes.
Como complemento a la posible adopción del Plan de Visión del Área de la Estación NLTC, la Ciudad propone esta solicitud para enmendar el Plan Vecinal Combinado de North Lamar (Georgian Acres NP), el Plan Vecinal de la Asociación Cívica del Norte de Austin (NACA), el Plan Vecinal Combinado de Brentwood/Highland (Highland NP), el Plan Vecinal Combinado de Crestview/Wooten (Crestview NP) y el Plan Vecinal Combinado de Crestview/Wooten (Wooten NP), para eliminar la designación FLUM existente de las propiedades especificadas propuestas para ser cubiertas por el FLUM del Plan de Visión del Área de la Estación NLTC: https://www.speakupaustin.org/ETODstationareas.
